Sebastian Alexandre

This little kid is so cute. I was so excited to get the chance to hold him. He was less than 18 hours old when this picture was taken.

The Bathroom continues

My bathroom updates continues. Yesterday I put the light up (yes the electricity and all). It was a bit challanging. I wish i had just one more hand. The front is fairly heavy so to hook the wires together I had to stand on the third step of the ladder, wrap my left arm under the light, balance the light on my side with two of the lamps on either side of me. Once I got all the wires attached and the light front up on the screws I realized the caps were sitting on the coffee table. Damn it........unhook everything, go get the caps and start all over again. UGH. It's all worth it cause I can say I DID IT and it looks great. Next, the floor.

Baby V Has Arrived!

After waiting 9 months, Sebastian Alexandre Vandeplas was born. He weighed in at 6lbs 11 oz. He is 20.5 inches long. He was born at 7:43pm. I could not wait to meet him. I talked to Amy on the phone this morning and I heard a little baby grunt in the background and Amy said Sebastian wanted to say HI to me. That just made me so happy and couldn't believe he was really here. I went during lunch today to meet him. He is just adorable and so small. He has a full head of the softest hair. Momma and Daddy did good.

Congratulations Amy and Raphael!!!

Pollen

Good Grief the pollen is terrible. The pollen count has gotten as high as 5500. 100 is high. It is crazy. I have my windows open (because it's so nice, i can save money and just because i can...hehehe). The windowsills are yellowish. Thank god pollen doesn't really bother me too much (knocking on wood).

This picture is of a car i saw on my way home. It was one of the worst cars I saw (that i could take a picture of without doing harm).

Winter Haven

See Mom and Dad, You can leave Winter Haven without LEAVING Winterhaven. Wouldn't that be funny to change your address from the town name to it being your new street name. That sure would confuse people.

It's Back

On my way home from work today I noticed the Wisteria is starting to explode. In some places its gone crazy and some places it's barely peaking out. I love wisteria. It is so pretty. They look like beautiful purple grape vines. I wonder if it would grow on my back patio wall?

Paint Day

My half bath is coming along well. Today I did some sanding, removed the yuckie light (which had a mess behind it so had to do some more spackling) and put a sealer/enhancer on the slate tiles. I had about three or four paint colors I liked and chose this one. Now that I have painted it in the bathroom, I realize it is very similar to the hall. Oh well, it's ok and if I don't like it I can always try a different color.

In this picture I obviously have not even finished one full coat. You can still see the yellow. I'm not rushing myself. It is such a small space and it got pretty hot today (it's 8:20pm now and it's still 85 degrees). Of course I still have my windows wide open. Just can't make myself turn on the air.

Mi Casa

Welcome to my house. I have done so many things to it since I moved in about 1 1/2 years ago. Of course there are so many things I still want to do. Right now, I am totally redoing my half bath. The toilet is gone, the counter/sink is gone, so is the flooring. The builders of this place put the flooring all the way under the baseboards and the door frame. That doesn't make sense to me. The good part is they did not use glue to hold the floor down (just staples). That's good because now I don't have to try to clean any glue up before laying the new flooring.

Thanks to Amy and Raphael, I got really pretty slate flooring.

Don't Eat the Cookies

Take a look at my cookie jar decor. Don't think about eating them though. You may break a tooth. These were my leftovers from Christmas. I originally put them in the jar to eat but.....

So now they are there for just decoration. They will probably stay there until I decide to make cookies for my house (which is rare, usually i make cookies for others).

Ready to Pop

My great friend Amy's baby was due yesterday. I have been documenting her belly throughout her pregnancy. I can't wait for her to have this baby, Sebastian Alexandre. She is still hanging in at work. I hope she doesn't make a mess on the new carpet....hehehehe (ewwww)

Here is her "baby due" photo taken yesterday.

A Day at the Krisarium

Today at work, my team celebrated Kris' 10th Anniversary at APL. We went all out for her. We turned her whole cube into an aquarium. "Water" (blue streamers and blue shredded paper), "Aquarium" (celephane), fish net, 5 foot sharks, fish and alot of standing on the desk. She was pretty surprised. I think we may have outdone ourselves this time :-)
We also got lunch from Smokey Bones. YUMMIE! All in All it was a good day.

See Ya!!!

Well, my visitors have left. I had such a wonderful time with them. I thank them SOOOO much for spending a part of their vacation with me. I love them greatly.

This picture was taken at the top of Stone Mountain yesterday of Atlanta. The rain had left but the clouds were still lingering. I am putting it on todays blog because it's a bit gloomy(but pretty cool) like me today.

Hey James, see you in August for your birthday my lil' buddy :-)

Another Great Day

Today we went to the Mayfield Dairy and to Stone Mt. It was suppose to rain all day but didn't. It did, however, get windy and cold. We hiked to the top of Stone Mt. James made it all the way up and all the way back by himself. I am very proud of him. It was soooooo windy at the top. We had a great day and got to do alot.

I'm gonna be sad tomorrow!

The Georgia Aquarium

Today we went to the aquarium. We liked sitting and watchig the fish until James tells us "Can we move on now?" It was suppose to rain all day.....I didn't rain a drop. We had fun even though there were all these school kids (ugghhh). After that we went to the playground to get the rest of the energy out of James, yeah that didn't work.

I Love Visitors

My buddies have come for a visit. I am so excited Diana, Wayne and James are here. My lil' buddy James is having a great time trying to chase the kitties. Of course, the kitties aren't too thrilled. It's always so great to spend time with Diana catching up on everything. Finally, Wayne has been able to see where I live.

This picture is outside Bugaboo Creek Steakhouse.

Why So Much???

So, I'm sorry but if I were to buy a house this expensive, I sure would like to have some sort of yard. I definatly wouldn't want to be able to spit and hit my neighbor......They don't need to know all my bizness, ya know what i mean ;-)
Developers are going crazy like this. This property was probably two or three older houses. The buy the land, knock down the houses and cram as many big houses with no yards as they can and sell them for a crap load. They are very nice looking houses but geeze.

Good Cybill

Cybill is such a good girl. She has always known where she is suppose to scratch her claws. She will tear through the house to get to her scratcher to do the right thing.....of course, she tears through the house right after she's taken a poo too....hehehehehe I know you wanted to know that but if you have a cat, you understand :-)

A Swim in the Pond

I think these geese are so funny. They squack so loudly. They could be flying through the air and you could be driving in your car with the windows up and you can hear them perfectly. I like to watch these birds too. I guess bird watching has become a hobby of mine.

My Other Outdoor Birds

Here is my other outdoor bird. I've come to learn it is a Carolina Chickadee. I have seen at least 4 at one time. They take turns on the feeder... until the bigger Cardinals come and show em' who's boss. Of course the yuckie pigeons stay on the deck floor as they are too big to land on the feeder or maybe they just don't know how. I can't say they are stupid though, the cardinals push the seed on the deck with their becks so really the pigeons don't have to work to hard at it. Just watch out for the cat.....(and I don't mean mine).

One FurChild

How long did you think it would take before a picture of one of my babies would show up on this blog.....I tried to hold off as long as possible. Summer is just so crazy and cute. She's definatly good for a laugh or two!!!

A Bobcat for James

Look James, a bobcat the right size for you.
I saw this thing sitting there and my thoughts turned directly towards James. I could see him sitting in there just having a blast. (hope to still see ya next week my lil' buddy)

Shedding the Winter Fur

Ok so I have shedded my winter fur. After over 6 months I decided it was time to get a hair cut. It is March and the wind is just too much for my thick mane. I can't see half the time I am outside (hence the earlier picture of me). I think I lost a pound or so.

What's Going On?

What the heck is going on with the gas prices again. This is so annoying.
Come on now!!!!! There is no need for the shenanagans.....

Who's a Great Kid?

Ok, first off, I know I didn't take this picture but I had to add it today.

My bestest little buddy James pointed out that there was an "Aunt Vickie truck" on the train. Look in the background and there you will see an APL container sitting on a stacktrain. This kid has a wonderful memory. I love him dearly.

The Birds are Back

I am very excited because my outdoor birds are back. There is at least one male and female Cardinal. And then there are quite a few of these little tan/black/white birds (at least 4). I will get a picture of them too and post it later. I love watching the birds.
It's funny because I am excited that the birds are back but Scottie isn't so excited. He has a tree outside his house that hangs over the driveway and the birds hang out up there and poop on whoever is parked below. Thank God I can just walk to his house :-)

Signs of Spring

I love to see the first signs of Spring. The tree skeletons start to grow buds, the flowers begin to bloom, it starts to get warm outside (enough to save some money).

March 1, 2007 Day 1

Well, today is the beginning. My first snap. I figured the first picture should show me. I hate pictures... So don't expect anything normal??? Come on now! I can promise that the following pictures will be better than this one :-)
