Let's Slide

This is James taking a slide down the tube. He sure has static. Look at his hair. I can not believe how much this kid has grown up. He will be starting pre-pre school at the beginning of June and then starting fullfledged Pre-School in the fall. It may turn out that I get to be there for his first day of school. How exciting. I love you James!!!!!

I tell you what. If Summer was an outdoor cat, those birds would be in trouble. She tries to get as low to the ground as possible. Even pulling her ears down:

And then she jumps on two feet and start going at the window like she is trying to dig out. I think she learned that from "The Karate Kid" (wax on, wax off).

Did You Know?

Did you know that those Energy Star efficiency bulbs don't work on dimmers? I mean they light up but won't dim (oh you knew what I meant, didn't you?)

Two of the lights are Energy Star bulbs (13 watt) and two are normal bulbs(60 watt). Can you tell the difference?

Turn down the dimmer...... Now can you tell? The Energy star bulbs won't dim. I guess I won't be able to go "green" in the livingroom.

I Love Kitties!!!

Introducing George and Zsu Zsu. These are a friend of mine's cats. George is a bit snooty and Zsu Zsu is just plain crazy. I enjoy them both and miss them.

Rock and Roll Baby

Have you ever been to the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame? It is in Cleveland, Ohio. If you have not, I would suggest you check it out. My brother Richie and I went last summer. It is really cool and has SOOOO much stuff. You can't take your camera but who doesn't have a camera phone these days (oh yeah, me. someone who loves to take pics doesn't have a camera phone. gotta get me one of those for sure). All in All, Richie and I had a really great vacation together.

Bok Tower

If you are ever in Central Florida and like nature and peace and quiet, try Bok Tower. There are walking trails, nice trees, a cafe to get food and ice cream, friendly squirrals to feed and this tower that plays music every hour (i think). It is a really nice place to visit (except when it's so hot that can barely stand it). Last time my parents and I went, it was boiling hot. Found out later it was over 100 degrees plus humidity but of course that's Florida for ya.

It's Amazing

I can not believe these two are this close and are calm and not wrestling. I see this and HAVE to pull out the camera. I may never see it again. I'm not saying they hate each other, they just don't sleep this closely. Plus, Summer never lays on that end of the couch.

Richard of Egypt

Wow, what has happened to Richie? He looks like he has jumped right out of "The Mummy". Oh wait, he did......the ride at Universal Studio's. He's so crazy!!!! We had fun that night even though it was WAY too crowded.

For Thursday, May 17th

So I forgot to blog yesterday. I said I would probably forget from time to time. Work has been really crazy and I feel like i need those little floaties on my arms so I don't drowned. I have five more working days until I get to go on vacation.....THANK GOD!

Here is a picture of Saffie going for a ride in the car. She LOVES (like most dogs) to stick her head out the window. She just looks so happy. Of course the side of my car looked so nasty after that :-)~

A Bird Affair

These birds look like they were told to pose. I guess I was at the right place at the right time. Funny thing is they were squabbling at each other just a second before I got this shot. I got that picture too... hehehehe

Purple Starfish

I don't believe I have ever seen a purple starfish before. They have one at the Georgia Aquarium. I thought the color of this picture turned out rather well.

Tree Doctor

It looks like this tree needs a doctor. It might have some kind of yeast infection? Yuckie!!!

HAPPY MOTHER'S DAY!

I love my Mama!!!!!!!!! I wish her a very VERY Happy Mother's Day. Thank you for everything you have ever done for me. I wish I could be there with you today BUT I will see you in about two weeks for our vacation. I can't wait.

Happy Birthday Scottie

Today is Scottie's 36th Birthday. He had a birthday / housewarming party. I got to meet many of his crazy coworkers. He definatly fits right in. So, Scottie asked me if I'd make his birthday cake and naturally I said yes. I asked him what kind of cake he wanted, meaning what flavor. He told me "I'd like a boob cake". Yes people, a boob cake. Blast From the Past

This is my Mom, her parents and her brother back in the 60's. Think back to the movie with my "husband" Brendan Frasier, Blast From the Past. Doesn't my Grandfather look like the father, played by Christopher Walken. I obviously think it's the hair and glasses. hehehehe

Wow....I'm Seeing Circles

What is this you ask? It is part of the new plates I got. This is the midsize plate pattern. The big plates are blueish white. I think they are cool because they are not perfectly round. No one plate is the same. Another cool thing is Richie bought me placemats last year or so that kinda match, brown leather with blue circles. Come over for dinner sometime and I'll serve on my new plates:-)

My Work Family

Here is the most recent picture of my team at work. Mary, Me, Kellie Renee, James, Patricia, Mike and Kris (Minus Amy, who's on maternity leave.....miss ya Amanda!!!) What you don't know about this picture is the corner stone between Mary and I is left open. Why? because there is some nice purple bird poop. I ain't sittin in no poopie! hehehehe

Saffie really wants you to drop a piece of food. She'll get it, she promises. She doesn't care what it is. She will even eat lettuce if you put something better on top and trick her....heheheheh She's so crazy! We never really wanted her to eat people food but hey, she's almost 13 years old. She deserves it at this point.

First of the Season

Here is a picture of the first strawberry of the season. My strawberries don't grow too big but they sure are good. I just have to make sure the birds or the ants don't get to them before I do. I check them everyday.

The BlueJay

So, now I have two BlueJays who like to come visit Victoria's Fly-thru. They try to land on the birdfeeders but are a bit big. They do their best though. I say, they ain't starvin' for sure.

Like Sunshine

I really like this picture. The way the flower has the darker yellow circle in the center and the lighter yellow on the outside. Maybe I should get some for my deck.

The Swan Song

So some people sing in the shower. Do you think Swans sing while taking their bath? I believe they might. This one was sure having a good ol' time.

59th floor

Take a look at the view from the 59th floor of the Westin in downtown Atlanta. You can see Phillips Arena, CNN center, Georgia Dome, Cenntenial Olympic park, and The Tabernacle concert hall. My mom, dad and I stayed here for a night on my mom's 60th birthday. Pretty funny that the beginning of our stay my mom was 59 on the 59th floor. This hotel is so cool. It is totally round. The halls to the room is round. The outside window is from floor to ceiling and wall to wall and of course rounded. It was weird, i have never stayed in a hotel and left the curtains open but who's gonna see in? When we woke up in the morning we looked outside and the clouds were below us. That was a crazy feeling. Maybe we were on cloud 9? hehehehe

A Ghost Kitty
