Pretty in Pink

I have a new plant. I don't know what it is called but it has this very pretty flower stalk. It's cool because there are these pocket type thing all around the flower and it looks like other flowers will grow out of the pockets. The smaller flowers are not pink, they are purple and white. Of course I have had this plant for about two or so weeks and the flower stalk is now too heavy and has fallen to the ground. I tried to hold it up with the big leaves but it keeps falling.
Good thing is, another stalk is coming up so I will have a new one to watch.

Peek a Boo

Here is Summer and Apollo playing. Summer is in the top cubie hole of the kitty condo and Apollo is on the top. They were popping out and smacking each other. They were having a good ol' time. It was so funny. I couldn't stop laughing.

An Explosion

Yes, that's right. There has been an explosion on my back deck. My strawberry plants have exploded. The rain has done them wonders. They are so green, there are many many sprouts and loads of baby strawberries. Hopefully this time I can get some yummie strawberries to eat.
The sprouts are going crazy and I have another planter right next to the others and am hoping the sprouts will do good and grow into many new strawberry plants.
I was worried because in May when I went on vacation, i came back and the lack of rain and too much sun had killed one whole planter and burned the others. BUT, the rain came and saved them.

Here is a picture of two planters of very happy strawberry plants and one planter of baby sprouts. There is also a small pot in the back of the right hand planter. (that can't be seen) Those sprouts wouldn't reach to the front planter.

Cybill says WELCOME.....

Depending on the day, when I come home, I am welcomed by one of three kitties. The day this picture was taken, Cybill wanted to say Welcome home Mama. Pet me please. I like when someone greets me. Friday when I came home Cybill was at the stairs, Summer was rubbing on the wall at the top of the stairs and Apollo was nowhere to be seen. So I went searching for him. He had somehow shut himself in the bathroom and couldn't get out. Poor guy. He was very happy to see me and be saved.....

Give Me a Kiss.....

You know, Saffie isn't one to give kisses but if you mess with her enough she just might try and very closely succeed. Right Mom?

This picture, to me, is pretty nasty looking and pretty funny all together.

My Disney Buds

When I went home to visit my parents in Florida over the 4th of July weekend, some old Rubio friends and I met for dinner. We had a great time. A few of them I hadn't seen in many years. It was so nice to see and chat with them.
Here is a picture of the girls: Debbie, Virginia, me, Shamira and Samara. Jim took the picture.

Dancin' Squirrel

Look at this picture of a squirrel I took. This was at Bok Tower in Lake Wales, Florida. I like this place as it is usually pretty peaceful. The squirrels are not very scared of people. They know you might feed them. I didn't use my lens camera to take this close picture. Just my normal camera. Maybe the squirrel thought I was going to feed him. Sorry little buddy :-) Really though, i got the picture and my dad gave him a nut for payment....hehehehe

Drew Allen

My friend Amy's sister Casey had a baby last Thursday (7/19). His name is Drew Allen. He was born at 8:12 am. He is 7lbs 5oz and is 20.5 inches long. I have not met him yet but i hope to very soon. His sister Lauren has a big adjustment since she had full attention for 7 years. Her little brother will be good for her. I have only seen this one picture but I know this is going to be a good looking family :-)

State Bird

Yesterday, I was watching the birds out back nibbling on the bird feeder when I looked down on the floor of the deck. There sat a new bird I hadn't seen back there before. It was brown with a tan chest with brown spots. I believe it is a Brown Thrasher, which just happens to be the Georgia state bird. It is also the mascot to the Atlanta's hockey team. I hope the trasher comes back for more meals. He's big so he was having a hard time on the feeders.

My Brothers

So yesterday I showed you my dad's brothers. Well, today I am going to show you a picture of my two brothers. They are so crazy!!!!! But I tell you, if Richie presses any harder on my neck I think he'll cut off the circulation to my brain. He also looks like he is tickling Scottie's ear. GROSS Richie.....Gross!!!!! :-)
Love you guys

Long Lost Brothers

My dad and his brothers have not seen each other (all together) in, I believe, over 15 years. I can not believe it has been that long. I could not imagine not seeing both my brothers together with me for that long. I mean we don't all get together that often due to a state line between us but It's at least once or twice a year.
My dad's cousin came into town and everyone decided to finally get together and have dinner.
Here is a picture of my Uncle Jeff, cousin Irene, Uncle Doug and Dad. I'm really glad they got the chance to do this and I hope it happens again.

Grandparents

Today my mom and dad got to meet their newest grandkitty, Apollo. They love him and are having fun playing ball with him. He told them that he would share his room with his grandparents. Cybill hasn't shown them how loud she can get when Apollo gets too close. Summer has not played too much with him today. There is too much excitement with grandma and grandpa around.

This picture is my mom loving on her grandbaby.

Seeing Green

A couple years ago my friend Kris and I took a trip to Florida and went to Universal Studios Island of Adventure. My mom's coworker had some free tickets so........ we made plans. We had a great time and got some pretty funny pictures.

This picture is of us and the Grinch. The funny thing is when I see this picture the only thing I can see is how iridescent my legs look. Damn, can I get a tan or what?

Do You Have Crazy Parents?

Do you? Oh my god, well I do. Of course, I would not have it any other way. I love my crazy parents and am glad they gave me the crazy gene:-)

If you ever need a good laugh, go to a big department store. Go to the woman's hat department. Try on the biggest, gawdiest, brightest hat you can find. My friend Amy and I use to go to SteinMart and do this and just laugh and laugh. Then my mom and I were at (I think) JCPenney or Burdines (now Macy's). I got my mom laughing so hard I think she almost pee'd her pants. Some guy walked by and looked at us like we were smokin' crack or somethin'. (which made us laugh even harder). It truely is a stressbuster. Of course the hats in this picture is from Disney Village. Still just as funny.

Hey Ma, we need to do that again!

Lets Do Brunch?

Here is a picture of my friends Amy, Jocelyn and Bianca. I believe in this picture we had gone to brunch at Original House of Pancake on LaVista. Jocelyn had come into town and was going to be leaving that day so we had to eat before she got on the road. We have not done this in some time (or at least I haven't). Of course now there are two babies and another on the way. Congrats to all of you. I love you all :-)

Shuffleboard Anyone?

A couple years ago my mom and I went on a Disney Cruise. We had a blast. The funny part, we found a shuffleboard court on one of the decks and we played our own kind of shuffleboard game. Lets see how far we can scoot the pucks down the deck. We laughed soooooo hard. I split my side. I think once I almost chucked it over the railing :-)

I Have Bunnies

Today I was sitting at my computer checking my email when I saw movement out of the corner of my eye. I turned and saw something big moving (when i say big, i mean bigger than the birds i am use to seeing). I got up and started looking and there they were. Two brown bunnies feeding off the grass in the back of my house. There was a big, darker brown bunny and a smaller lighter brown bunny. They are very cute and stay for quite a while. They got really close and one was on the concreate at the bottom of my deck stairs. I think that's pretty cool. I just hope they don't become kittyfood. (not my kitty, that bad kitty that caught the bird that one time).

Busted!

AHAHAHA....Summer just doesn't want to admit she is getting used to Apollo and likes playing with him. They now chase each other and play peak-a-boo from under the couch.

In this picture I caught them playing. Of course the picture shows them being calm but I can just imagine them saying "We weren't doing anything but sitting here real still".

Prayer Needed!

Diana's Brother Steven has just had very serious surgery this week. I am praying to the highest powers that he comes through this with flying colors. He's a strong being and I wish for him to surprise everyone and have a quick and fully successful recovery.

Steven is in my thoughts and prayers, as well as his whole family / friends / anyone who has had the privilege to know him.

(Daisy, I hope you don't mind, I borrowed this picture from your family site)

The Rocking Chair

My parents had this little rocking chair up in their attic. It was mine when I was little. I decided to take it back home with me. Not quite sure what I'm going to do with it yet. It is currently sitting in my living room next to my computer. WELL, Apollo has decided he is the perfect size for it. He actually looks reallly cute sitting / laying in it. I'm just going to have to leave it in the living room for a while.

Crazy Picture

Ok so over 11 years ago, when I worked at Disney, some freinds and I were messin around. We worked in the balloon room. There are these spikets that the helium comes out to blow up the balloons. We were joking around about models and how they do when "wind" is blowing through their hair at photo shoots. Every time I think of this, I just have to laugh!!!
Here was my mimic of this:

For Monday, July 9th

I believe that Summer is starting to realize that Apollo isn't so bad. She still hisses at him but she is much for curious about what he is doing. I think that she actually wants to play with him but she's just not sure how. Yesterday they were both on the back of the couch and Apollo kept getting closer and trying to get her attention. Summer was taking a bath. In this picture Apollo was trying to get her attention and notice her hand. Apollo is about to get a smack....hehehehe He didn't though.

For Sunday, July 8th

After a long 4th of July weekend, it was time to head home. I was excited to get back to all my kittys. At this point Apollo had now spent more time at Scottie's house than with me. Apollo and Saffie got along real well. Apollo definatly has a new buddy. I don't have any pictures of the two of them together yet. Here is a cute picture of Apollo though.

For Saturday, July 7th

On Saturday, I went over to my friend Shamira's house. Her family was having a cookout with some friends. I finally got to meet her new son (well 7months now) Luke. He is really cute. Of course I was very happy to hang out with Peter (her almost 4 yr old). He is a little buddy of mine and always remembers me. I also got to see Samara's little girl Isabella (1 1/4 yr old). Here are some pictures.

For Friday, July 6th

On Friday I was able to have dinner with some great friends from my Disney days. We had such a great time. Dinner was with Shamira, Samara, Virginia, Debbie and Jim. I hadn't seen Jim or Virginia in a many years. I miss my Disney friends so much. I didn't end up taking any pictures during dinner (i know, crazy huh.....). So.....I found some old pictures, scanned them and decided to share with you. Mind you, these are at least 11 years old.

Love you guys. Can't wait until we can get together again :-)

For Thursday, July 5th

I drive past this middle school everyday on my way home from work. I have been watching them build these new building on the school campus. Then the school sign said "New year, New school". Then a few weeks ago, they started tearing down the old school. Good lord, i've never seen a school being bulldozed. Pretty crazy. THEN, come to find out, this middle school is where my friend Amy went. I told her about it and she was in shock. I took this picture to show here.

For Wednesday, July 4th

Happy Independence Day!!!!!!!

Check out this picture. Ain't he cute :-)

Apollo

Ok, I've decided on a name. It is definatly not the way I was looking. Maybe the SSSS names will be for the girls in the family. Scottie's dog Saffie and my kitties Cybill and Summer. i have decided to name this little boy Apollo. Scottie was looking at my People magazine and Apollo Anto Ono was in there. He is SOOOO hot. Scottie said ohhh Apollo and I said oh my god, kitty's name should be Apollo. Scottie and I looked at each other and it stuck. This is perfect because Apollo was the Greek God of Sun. I adopted the little baby on Sunday and it sure was sunny and hot.
Welcome Apollo :-)

New Addition

I want to introduce you to the newest addition to my family. A little boy kitty. I don't have a name for him yet. We'll just call him cutie pie for now. He is about 12 weeks old. He is really sweet. He is scared of the ceiling fan and the TV. He is currently sleeping under the blanket that I have on the back of the couch. My other two kitties Cybill and Summer aren't that happy about it but they will get use to him. Isn't this how most cats do?

I have a problem though. I just don't know what to name him. I had many names for a girl. I have a few possibilities: Cinnamon, Simba, Sunny. I need help. I would like it to be a sssss name to match Cybill and Summer.

What do you think his name should be?
