Employee of the Month

Scottie found out yesterday that he is the employee of the month. And, yeah he should. He got home from work travel after 2am and still went to work that morning (a bit late but still...) Be careful though, look at this picture. This is what happens when you work to "employee of the month" status.

Good job Scottie.....good job :-)

A Lake In Trouble

Atlanta is in a water crisis. Lake Lanier is down over 19 feet. I read in the paper one day there was one Lake Lanier park, Thompson Creek, that was so low an old roadway was now exposed to the world. This part of Lake Lanier is not as deep as the big section but still.....After reading this, I really wanted to go see it for myself. So, today my friend Amy and I went to see and take pictures. Here is what we found:

REALLY, this road was fully underwater and not even touchable by boat bottoms. It really is a sight to see. Obviously the boat ramp in the upper right corner is closed......

So, for those of you who got a Christmas card from me now understand the meaning of "Peace, Love and Rain". Pray for rain.... More Lanier pictures to come.

Meeting for the First Time

Last Saturday James got to meet his Aunt and Cousin for the first time. Aunt Anita and Raquel were in Dallas for a family function. They got to meet up with Diana, James and Linda (Diana's Mama) for a bit. I think it's good for James to meet the people who introduced me to Diana way back in 1992. (Thank you SOOOOO much Anita and Raquel. I can't imagine Diana not in my life now!!!!!)

This picture is Raquel, James and Diana.

Payday Lunch

I get paid every other Friday. On these days, Amy and Sebastian come and have lunch with me. Today we went to Applebee's and Sebastian was flirting with everyone. It's so cute.

This picture is of Amy, Raphael and Sebastian. They had asked me, before Christmas, to go to the park with them and their family to take some pictures of them for a present for their Mom, Debbie. This is one of those pictures.

Hidden Passages

At Fort Polasky in Savannah, they have these huge mounds and under the mounds there are many passages and rooms. This is to move amoung the fort to get supplies during battle. The passages were open and very cold. It was cool. Here is a picture of two of the entrances to the passage ways.

Again.....

Can you believe.....twice in one week it has snowed. Today I got up around 10am and it wasn't snowing just misting. The mist turned into little flakes. Soon after it was snowing. It snowed until about 3ish. That's a good amount of time. Of course it took quite a while for it to start sticking. I love to watch the snow falling.

IT'S SNOWING!!!!!

Finally.....there is snowfall. I love it. It's so nice. Apollo had never seen snow before so I took him outside in my arms. He was so interested in what was falling from the sky. Snowflakes would land on his ear and it would twitch. Snowflakes would land on his whiskers and back. He was looking all around. Then one paw (the only one i wasn't holding on to) opened wide and he swatted in the air as if he was trying to catch a snowflake. It was so cute. Then I put him down on the deck (without letting go) and made paw prints in the snow. After I brought him back in he kept watching out the door window and wanting back out. He's so crazy. I guess he likes the look and feel of snow as much as I do :-)

Extended Family

Amy asked me in December if I'd take pictures of her family. They wanted to give their mom an updated picture of them. I was so happy they would come to me. Here is one of the pictures I took of all 9 of them. Craig, Raphael, Ron, Casey, Amy, Christine, Drew, Lauren and Sebastian.
Debbie told me she cried when she got the picture.

Thanks guys for letting me be part of your family:-)

SOOOO DIRTY!!!!!

My car is so very dirty. It has not had a bath in many many months. I was doing my part to help the drought. I usually would wash my own car in the driveway but there is no outdoor water use what so ever. I decided today to finally go take my car to a car wash. It isn't like the little ones at the gas station. It is a more high tech one so I feel a little better about taking my baby inside. Baby looks SO much better now.

Jocelyn's Babyshower

Today Amy and I drove up to Nashville, TN to attend a great friend's baby shower. Jocelyn has 8 weeks left before she becomes a Mommy for the first time. I am so excited for her. So today her sister Lisa had a baby shower for her at her restaurant. Jocelyn received a whole lot of really nice stuff. It was a very nice shower and I'm really glad I got to be there.

*Jocelyn, congrats to you and Glenn. I can't wait to meet little Sam when he arrives. Don't be scared! You'll do great.

*Lisa, your restaurant is really cute. I love it. (Anyone in the Nashville area, stop by Unique Flavors Cafe for a bite. You'll love it for sure)

Molly

Here is a picture of my mom's other kitty Molly. It is so cute because she will sit somewhere and have her front paws crossed. It looks like she is trying to sit so lady like...... You can't really tell in this picture that her arms are crossed. She is just so fuzzy. Trust me, they are :-)

What Kind of Hospital?

I took this picture on the way out of Winter Haven. I had seen it before and had to chuckle and take a picture. Why the heck would someone require the need for a Vintage Christmas Doll Hospital? Is this open all year round? That's pretty crazy. How much money would a place like this make? I wonder if they have an emergency line after hours...hehehehe

RIGHT...........

Cookie Monster

I have found the Cookie Monster. Take a look. It's another one of my little buddyies, John. I would love to say that he is enjoying one of my cookies but he isn't. I was told by his mommy, my friend Kris, that he did enjoy many of my cookies as well :-) (Nice Thomas The Train PJ's)

Thank You Grandma and Grandpa

Apollo came home today from my parents house. For about the first half hour of the car trip Apollo had lots to tell me. He said that he had a great time at Grandma and Grandpa's house. This was his first trip and he told me that he defiantly wants to go back. He missed them already and had alot of fun with Simon (and Molly too). He asked if Simon could come visit him at our house sometime. I told him ya never know. He also mentioned he was so happy to finally meet Uncle Richie.

Thanks Mom and Dad. Miss you already :-)

Happy New Year

Today is the first day of 2008. My wish is for everyone to be happy and healthy. Raise your glass and smile, it's a new year.

New Years Eve at Seaworld

My parents and I rang in the New Year at SeaWorld. We had a good time. It rained a bit but the hardest rain came while we were sitting under shelter at the Shamu stadium.
Happy New Year to all my family and friends! Wishing you all the best for 2008.
