The End?

My plan was to blog a picture a day for a year. Today is the last day. I know some people will be sad (don't cry Ma....) and some people just didn't give a poo to check out my thoughts and pictures (you know who you are....of course they probably won't see this because......they didn't seem to care). Posting has become routine so it's going to be hard to stop the habit. I guess I'll have to go to rehab.
Thanks to everyone who stopped by this year to see my pictures Let me know how you liked it.
Well, the sun is setting on my Snap A Day year. Maybe someday you will see me again.
Peace, Love and a Zoom, -eikciV-

Interruptions

When my Mom was visiting in September, I took her to the Duluth Fall Festival. We went early and watched the parade. In going into downtown Duluth, there are railroad tracks. During the parade, three different trains passed. This means that the parade would have to stop and wait for the train to pass. Do you know how long this parade ended up being????? UGH.
Look closely at this picture and tell me who to blame for this parade interruption? HEHEHE......i guess this one is ok :-)

Wanna Go Fishin?

This pier looks like a great place to go fishing. I bet you'd catch lots of fish from here. What do you call a fish that can walk on sand?

Do Ya Think?

This sign was taken at Lake Lainer. Just take a look at the sign and hear the sarcasm in my words when I say "REALLY, why? I just don't understand why I can't put my boat in here".........

The Playground

Today I went over to my friend Kris' and we took her son John to the playground. I took like almost 100 pictures of him. He's a little crazy kid for sure :-)

The above picture is of John and Kris watching a train go by. Of course John loves the trains.

Dawn and Mark

Today I went to visit my friends Dawn and Mark. Mark grew up in Dawsonville and knows how to get to many different Lake Lanier parks. I think he took us to about 6 parks including Buford Dam. I had a really good day.

The above picture is another old road that use to be underwater. The above picture is of floater balls to let swimmers know that is as far as they should swim......I guess they don't really need those right now :-(

Thanks Dawn and Mark for a really nice day. We'll have to do this again soon!

A Bigger Lunch Crowd

Today, being payday, Amy, Sebastian and I went to lunch. This time we had visitors. Kris from work came. My other coworker, who now works from home after having twins, Tricia drove out with Cassie and Joey to have lunch with us too. I had to ask Mary, my boss if it was OK to take a longer lunch. It's hard enough getting back in an hour with Amy and Sebastian :-)
It was so cute because Cassie and Joey (who turn 4 in June) really liked Sebastian (or as they say baby). Joey kept hugging Sebastian.
Here are two pictures. The top one is Cassie and Joey and the bottom one is of Joey, Sebastian and I. (no i'm not scared, not sure why i have that look and dang it, i have a double chin startin up.......of course eating at Moe's doesn't help any)

Where's the Rest?

OK so this picture was taken at Lake Lanier. This cinder block use to be underwater. I wonder what was tied to it when it was tossed in the water. Whatever it was escaped.

New Tree

When I came home today, to my surprise, the landscapers has planted a new tree. I'm not sure what kind it is. I thought it was kinda weird that it happened now. I mean we are in a serious drought and it is still winter. Hey, they are the professionals. I hope it survives and I can't wait to see it in the Spring when it blooms.

The Warnings

Oh wow, today the tornado sirens went off during a thunderstorm. I got so scared. I couldn't stop my feet long enough to decide if I'm suppose to pack up the kitties and head to the basement or not. Scottie called me to see what I was doing and I had no idea. He was like, just keep watching the news and the weather. The minute I hung up the dish went out. I ran upstairs and started pulling out the cat carriers. Then another sounding siren went off so I called Scottie to see if he knew what that one was for. The siren pole is right across the street from his house so he can hear the announcements better. He told the warning was over. I couldn't calm all the way down though. Then twice after that ANOTHER siren sound went off and nothing was said with it so I have no idea what they were for. The carriers are still out just incase.
Poor Apollo, he was scared too. He went under the chair three times. Then on the other spectrum, Cybill never moved from the blanket she was laying on. Then there was Summer that would stand in the middle of the floor trying to figure out what was going on and then look under the chair to see what Apollo was doing. When Apollo did come out from under the chair he would just follow me around.
Geeze, i hated that!!!!!

Caveman

I forgot to tell you but yesterday when i was at Lake Lainer, the water was so low that a cave emerged and there sat a caveman. Can you believe it? I think I got too close because he gave me caveman attitude. I was so scared. But, i got a picture of him before I ran.

Laurel Park

Today my friend Steven and I went to Laurel Park at Lake Lanier. There was definitely more water at this park than Thompson Creek park (from last weekend) but it was still really low. At this park, when the water went down, an old section of a concreate stadium type seating became visable from an old go-cart track (from what i have read).I am guessing that the green 65 was just above water? It was about the same height as the grassy area in the background. That marker is about 2 Stevens high.
I took many pictures so there will probably be more to come.

Cybill says.....

......"I can't wait for Spring. That way I can sit in the open windows again." Sometimes she has to yell at Apollo when he tries to get in the same window. (and geeze can she yell. never heard her so loud until Apollo came....hehehehe)
