Sebastian is One

HAPPY BIRTHDAY SEBASTIAN!
Can you believe it? Sebastian is now 1 year old. It has been so great getting to watch him grow and learn so far, and I've been a part of it:-) This is just a great little kid. Today he had a little family birthday party. (again, SO happy to have be able to be part of it) He got lots of presents and his own little cake. He shoved his hands right in it. Poor kid ...... ALLERGIC!!!!!!! Mama & Papa took care of him though and he got through it. Next year, dairy free cake.
I love ya Sebastian. Take care little buddy and I'll see ya next birthday (and many many times in between...heheheh)

I got to surprise James for Easter. The surprise.....was ME :-) I had such a nice time with James and Diana. We spend Saturday at Diana's Mom's house for an Easter egg hunt. Her brother Steven, his wife Paula and their daughter Miryam also were there. It was good to see them all.
I tell ya, James is just growing up way to fast. Here are a few pictures I too

And then it was time to go again.....booohooooo :-( Here is the traditional airport picture.

A Tornado

Well, last night a 130 mile an hour tornado ripped right through downtown Atlanta. It is crazy. They say a tornado has never hit downtown before. Here are some pictures I found on the internet of the distruction. The above picture is at the CNN / Omni hotel. It looks like all the windows were blown out. This is outside Phillips Arena. A water pipe burst in Georgia World Congress Center and flooded the place. This stairwell looks like a water fountain....This is the Westin (I rented a room for my Mom on her 60th birthday). Windows were blown out. You can see curtains hanging out. Many suburbs around downtown Atlanta were hit as well.

Then today there were so many more pockets of serious storms that passed through the Atlanta area. It was a pretty scary day.

I'm Sleeping

Cybill says this is how she has to sleep. Her eyes are not fully closed. That way Apollo can't sneak up on her. The boy drives her crazy :-)

The City Hawk

I was driving to work today and as I was stopped at a red light i saw something odd from the corner of my eye. I turned to see what it was and in this bare tree sat a hawk. It was pretty cool. So I pulled into the parking lot that the tree was close to so I could get a better view. I took a few pictures. My passenger window was down as I was taking the pics when all the sudden in the camera viewfinder, the hawk had opened it's wings and looked to be flying right towards me. It freaked me out so i looked up and the hawk had landed on the grass right next to my car, grabbed something from the ground and flew off. It happened so quickly i couldn't get a picture.

So, I drove the rest of the way to work. That was a cool way to start my day :-)

The Addict

OMG, so I'm not the one who needed to be in "rehab". OK, so you now know that Apollo can open doors. Well, he can also open the kitchen and bathroom cabinet doors too. Today I went into the guest bathroom and there were pink allergy pills all over the floor and the cabinet door was open. Dude, the cat got the bottle of allergy pills out, opened the bottle and dumped the pills all over the floor. It seems that he just thought they were play things since they were pushed behind the toilet, behind the door, everywhere. Now, I don't know if he can actually open a childproof bottle of pills or if the last person to use them didn't put the lid on tight (not I). I wouldn't put it past him though knowing his track record. I was really worried because I didn't know if he actually ate any or not...... I've been keeping my eye on him and he seems to be fine.
CRAZY CAT!!!!!!!!!
