A FireFighter's Strength

Wow, firefighters sure do get some weird calls. Look at this car? My friend Steven is holding it up with one arm. HEHEHEEH.....crazy driver tried to drive up electrical pole wires. Stupid idiot. I guess it's a good thing or that car might have ended up in that house.

The First Time

This picture is the first time I had ever met Diana. It was in Seal Beach, CA. Because of this meeting, I have a soul sister. I am so grateful. I can't wait to see Diana again :-) (which will be August for James' 5th birthday)

Transportation

Since I work for a transportation company, importing and exporting goods on containerized vessels, My company is having a "Forms of Transportation" photo contest. While I was at the Grand Canyon this year, I was hoping to come upon a pack of mules carrying people up or down the canyon. That would be a great form of transportation. I would hope people wouldn't think outside the box :-) Unfortunately, I only saw (and smelled) that we had missed them.
The past couple weeks I have started scanning all my photos from the film days. Low and behold, I came across the pictures I had taken during my Grand Canyon trip in 1992 with my Aunt and Uncle. In this pack was a picture of a caravan of mules carrying passengers. YEAH.
I have now submitted my picture. We'll see.........

Light Show

During vacation, I took my parents to the old strip in Las Vegas to see the light show. They covered the street of the old strip with the biggest big screen around. It's called Viva Vison. The largest LED desplay system with like 12.5 million lights. I believe it's 4 blocks long.
The show had a whole piece about Queen. My mom LOVES Queen. She was so happy. I am glad we waited for the second show or she would have missed it.

Many Firsts

Today, I had many firsts. My friend Amy's Aunt died and today was the funeral. She didn't want to take Sebastian to the funeral so she asked me if I'd do her a HUGE favor. Of course I would. Now mind you, i have never babysat before nor have I ever changed a diaper.
Sebastian was a little fussy, at first, when everyone left especially his mommy. We got playing and he was fine. No more than 10 or 15 minutes after Amy left, Sebastian put me to the test. He gave me a big stinky poo in his diaper......yeap. (before the day was over, he had pooped again...ugh) All in All, it was a really great day. We played alot and the only time he got fussy was when I told him he couldn't climb on the stairs. (i told him I'm sure his mom and dad let him but not on my watch)
I have to say, i am very proud that Amy trusted me enough to leave her child in my care for like 5 hours.

The Fountains

While in Vegas, we tried about three different time to see the fountain show. I would see it going and I'd try to get us across the street (which isn't a quick task). Every time we get there, it would be over. We finally just hung out long enough to catch one.

Madame Tussaud's

We had to go visit the famous Madame Tussaud's Wax Museum. The figures were pretty darn freaky. I couldn't look into their eyes. hehehehehe Crazy, I know.
My Dad was able to "meet" his favorite actor John Wayne.
My Mom got her picture with her idol John F Kennedy. She didn't want Jackie in the picture. She wanted him all to herself.....heheheheAnd.......I got to stick it to the man.

Next Stop....

While in Vegas, we stayed at Excalibur. Tower II had just recently been remodeled and is now called the Wide screen suites. They were pretty nice. The bathroom was nice and big. The rooms had 42 inch wide screen TVs. Our room faced New York New York. That was cool but at night, it was really bright and the lights came through the curtains. (If you don't know, i have light issues at night.....) Funny thing was, we could hear the people screaming on the roller coaster from NY NY.

Route 66

We spent our last night at the Grand Canyon visiting an historic section of Route 66. Don't ask me what's so historic about it but it is (maybe I'll google it and find out).

We Were Robbed

While at the Grand Canyon, we took the Grand Canyon Railroad one day. It's a bit longer to get there but well worth it. The rail cars are from the 20 or 30's and were refurbished. While on the way back to town, our train was robbed. I think Dad was pretty scared.....they stole his partials :-)

Watch Your Step

From the Hoover Dam, my parents and I headed to the Grand Canyon.......and what a "Grand" canyon it was.

It was pretty cloudy the day this picture was taken and fairly windy and chilly. If you have not seen the Grand Canyon, you gotta put it on your list of "places to see before you die".

Freaky.....

Dude, if I saw something that looked like this, I wouldn't be trying to dial my phone for the police. I would be booking it in the other direction as quick as I could. Paaallleeezzzzz. hehehehehe
