Maya

My friend Mike and his girlfriend Heather adopted a puppy a few months ago. She is an Australian Shepard. Her name is Maya and she is about 4 months old now. Yesterday I got to meet her. He lives close to El Azteca and stopped by with her before coming to dinner. She is so cute and is growing so fast.

Dinner Time

Today some APL people from different offices came into town (for a big meeting tomorrow). Some people from my team took them to dinner. We took them to our old stomping ground (before all the layoffs many years ago), El Azteca.

In the picture is Mike, Peter, Balarama, Kris, Kellie, Mary, Diane and I. Peter and Balarama are in the I.T department at APL headquarters in Oakland, CA. Diane is my boss' boss and is located in Denver, CO.

How High

I think your mind has gone the wrong way.....I've been doing some scanning of my old photos. This one was taken in 1993. Usually the balloons are not on strings that are so high. I believe these balloons are double the height they usually are. This was for some kind of balloon order. I remember whomever took the picture had to lay on the ground to get it all in.

I also want to point out how much picture quality has changed.....geeze.

Birthdays

Yesterday, July 22nd was Diana's birthday. I want to wish her a very happy birthday and wish I could have celebrated with her. God I miss you :-)This picture was taken at James' birthday last August. LOVE IT......

Today is my friend Amy's birthday. She moved away almost 6 years ago and last night I got to hang out with her for a while. I baked her some cookies for her b-day. I hope we get to hang out again before she heads home.

Meet Richie's new(ish) girlfriend Laura. I got to meet her during my 4th of July trip to Florida. I only had about 15 minutes but she seems really nice and understands my family's sense of humor. She is a good age (mine) and doesn't seem to be a psycho so that's good :-).

Stalkers

Look at these two.....stalkin the birds. It is so funny. They sit there so quietly. You can't see in the picture but Cybill is also sitting at the edge of the couch just staring.

What is it?

The other day, I looked out my back door window and saw this brown furry thing. I wasn't sure what it was. Maybe a cat or a rabbit? I kept tapping on the door until.........

a rabbit popped it's head up to see what the noise was. It stood there and stared at me (and Summer). I moved once and the rabbit took off.
I have seen rabbits out back before but this one was the biggest yet.

Take a look at this picture of my Grandmother and her parents. I like the look of this picture. Is it me or does my greatgrandfather kinda look like a very young Paul Newman?

A Family Portrait

Today I went with Scottie, Serkain and the pups to the park. Of course I took my camera so I could take a family portrait :-)

Gonna Get 'cha

This is little Isabella aka Mini Samara. This time she warmed up to me quickly. She likes being chased and giggles alot. We had a good time. You can tell my the smile on this little cutie's face.

Taking in All the Info

My Mom and Dad hung in with us at the cookout for 9 hours.......yeap 9 hours listening to us gab, gossip and look at photos of the old Disney days. Thank you Mom and Dad for that.

Rubio Gang

This 4th of July, I hung out with my Rubio family. We had a cookout at Shamira's house. Her husband, Bob was the master griller and served some awesome chicken. (thanks Bob). It is so nice to catch up with my old friends. It's funny cause usually you keep in touch at first and then people just fade away. It's the opposite with us. For quite a while I didn't see many of these people and now......we try to get together once or twice a year. I love it.

One Full Year

Today one year ago Apollo came to live with me. I am so happy he is here (even though Summer and Cybill aren't always so happy). I love sweet Apollo. He makes me laugh all the time.
